This page is for teams that use Homebase now. It gives the reasons teams leave, what to check before you switch, how to get your data out of Homebase, and what StampShift costs.
See StampShift plansAsk each app these questions. StampShift does not win every one.
| Question | StampShift |
|---|---|
| Is geofenced clock-in on the plan you would buy? | All plans, including Free |
| Does the price go up with each user you add? | No. Each plan has one monthly price for every user up to its limit. Owners, admins and managers count toward that limit. |
| Are there native iOS and Android apps? | Not yet. Employees clock in from the browser on their phone, and can add StampShift to the home screen. The native apps are in development. |
| Can you import your past timesheets? | No. StampShift records hours from your first day on it. Keep the timesheet files from your old app for your records. |
| Does it send hours to your payroll provider? | It does not run payroll. It exports hours in Gusto, ADP RUN, QuickBooks Payroll and Paychex Flex formats. CSV: All plans, including Free. Excel and PDF: Growth plan and up. |
| Can you cancel at any time? | Monthly or annual billing. Cancel any time; the plan runs to the end of the paid period. |
StampShift does not import past timesheets. Keep the files you downloaded from Homebase for your records.
Sign in to Homebase on the web. Click your profile icon, select Billing, and click Delete Company under Plan. Select a reason and click Delete Company again. You lose access to all features and to most account data. If you pay for Homebase through a point-of-sale or payroll partner, you must downgrade on the partner site. The close page does not say how long Homebase keeps your data. You can stay on the free Basic plan instead of closing the account. Source
Each row uses each vendor's cheapest plan with geofencing. Where a vendor offers monthly or annual billing, the row uses the annual rate. Homebase charges for each location, and one location holds one geofence, so the Homebase column is for 1 job site.
| Users | StampShift, per year | Homebase, 1 job site, per year |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | $300 (Starter) | $288 (Essentials) |
| 50 | $588 (Growth) | $288 (Essentials) |
| 100 | $948 (Business) | $288 (Essentials) |
No. StampShift does not import past timesheets. Download your Homebase timesheets before you close the account, and keep them for your records.
You lose access to all features and to most account data. The Homebase close page gives no data retention period. Download your timesheets and reports, and save a copy of your schedules and your Team Roster, before you close the account. If you move to the free Basic plan, you keep the account.
We found no CSV export of the Homebase Team Roster in the Homebase help pages. Homebase gives the roster as a print or PDF copy. Type each email address on the StampShift invite page, or upload a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file that you make. The invite page reads the email column of the file. A team member can also create a StampShift account with your company code.
Homebase costs less than StampShift for a business with few job sites: with 1 job site above 5 users, with 2 job sites above 30 users and with 3 job sites above 75 users. With 4 or more job sites, StampShift costs less at every team size up to 150. The cost table on this page is for 1 job site. The StampShift vs Homebase page compares the cost by job site.
No. Employees clock in from the browser on their phone, and can add StampShift to the home screen. Native iOS and Android apps are in development.
Yes. You do not need to close your Homebase account before you set up StampShift. You can run both for one pay period and compare the hours.
Pricing as of October 4, 2026
Homebase prices are the annual-billing rates per location on its public pricing page, before add-ons and taxes.
StampShift prices are 12 times the monthly price. An annual StampShift plan covers 14 months for that price, so the table shows StampShift at more than its real yearly cost.
StampShift is not affiliated with Homebase. Product names belong to their owners.
